This little trick of the trade could not be found on the internet when we encountered it. Well internet, here it is.

1. On the affected machine run that can be found in SEP Cloud Removal Tool folder in Symantec’s fileshare:
Username – SHEP1
Password – Password123#

2. Reboot the machine
3. Run the tool for a second time.
4. There is a Cleanwipe tool available in this location, which performs a scan on any remaining Symantec products (I would advice running this to make sure no extracts are left).
5. Make sure the software has been removed from add/remove programs.
6. Navigate to C:/program files and ensure the folder has been removed. If not then delete it.
7. Log into your .cloud portal ( to delete the machine name.
